Mega Horn

In the early days of the industry, distributors would often provide their own brand of accessories for talking machines. The Victor Distributing and Export Company, an independent distributor for the Victor Talking Machine Company, sold a lightweight wood-product horn called the Mega Horn. Initially it was only available with a small end designed for cylinder phonographs, but the VDEC cut the end shorter and added a pin so that it would fit Victor elbows. The horns were sold in a variety of bright colors and are an interesting variation on the standard black metal horns of the day.
